Ken Gracz

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Ken Gracz has taught AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, and Honors Biology at T. Wingate Andrews High School in High Point, North Carolina, for eight years. Dr. Gracz has a B.Sc. degree in Biology from Loyola University, a M.Sc. in Physiology from the University of Illinois, and an MD. from the University of Chicago. During his 22-year career as a surgeon, Dr. Gracz developed a surgical procedure that bears his name and was the author of several papers. As a teacher, Dr. Gracz has been awarded many grants designed to improve technology in the classroom and enhance science inquiry type learning. His current interests include evolutionary developmental biology and the use of biotechnology in the study of evolution and biodiversity. His main teaching goal is to promote science literacy in all of his students.
