About

Alex Congelosi

My name is Alexandra Congelosi. I received my B.S. in biology at the University of South Florida. While I was there, I was a research assistant for two years working with amphibians and carnivorous plants. I then received my M.S. in biology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. My thesis addressed the ability of invasive species to evolve in order to survive in various environments. While I was a graduate student at UNCG, I participated in the GK-12 as a resident scientist for one year. Now, I am a high school biology and AP Environmental Science teacher at the same school. My goal this year is to make my students more aware of what is happening in the world. I will be having my students read and discuss current environmental issues throughout the school year.
