Kathy Melious

Kathy Melious studied Biomedical Engineering/Electrical Engineering, Chemistry and Physics on the undergraduate level at the New York Institute of Technology. Her Masters work was completed in a joint program between Rutgers University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Biomedical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering. Her graduate research focused on resorbable polymers in bone tissue and the biomechanics of cervical spine fixation. Kathy currently teaches Honors and AP Chemistry at Andrews High School. She has been teaching science to all ages for 16 years. She is married, has one child, one grandchild, and raises/trains American Saddlebred horses on the family farm in Mocksville.
